Trapped Tears

Contributed by humboldthunny17 on Sunday, 17th October 2004 @ 11:20:06 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Locked inside a box
That never came with a key
My tears are hiding, blocked,
Hiding from letting me see

I never know something's wrong,
until I start to write,
My fears fall out, endlessly,
and I cry throughout the night.

I wake up after a deep long sleep,
and no one ever knows,
with me smiling every day,
how or where the wind blows.

I don't know, I hide from myself
I'd NEVER be found if I played Hide and Seek,
I trap up all my tears and leave them
To fall out at the end of the week.

Closed, Blocked, Unknown,
My tears sit waiting for their time
Will I ever know when they come?
I don't know, until I start to rhyme.

I can relate with you on this problem, and I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there, but might or might not want to admit it. Crying at the right time is always better, I feel, rather than letting it fester inside of you. Might not be healthy, but what is nowadays. I feel that you keep your emotions inside, and wait until you are alone to let them out, this is alright if you can do it on command. What I do is play a song that is special to me in a sad way to make me cry, then I gather all of my sad situations and pool them together, and have a good, let it all out cry, until I get tired of crying, then I tell my problems to the Good Lord and ask him to help me, Cry until you can cry no more. Well, it works for me anyway. Good thought provoking write. Great job, great title.

Great poem, but sad.
