DADDY....
I WAITED FOR A REPLY
BUT YOU JUST STOOD THERE
AND WATCHED ME CRY.
WHY?..WHY?
LOVE IS ALL I NEEDED
WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST LOVE ME?
DADDY..
LOOK...
DO YOU SEE ME CRYING
LORD, GOD KNOWS I'M DYING.
I MISS YOU BUT I CAN'T LET YOU BACK IN
AND I KNOW DISOBEANCE IS A SIN.
I'M LACKING SO MUCH,
I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH OF LOVE,
DON'T KNOW WHAT A FATHER DAUGHTER DANCE IS
DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT ELSE I MISS.

BUT DADDY I CAN'T CRY NO MORE
MAYBE I'M JUST NOT A DAUGHTER YOU ADORE.
WHAT EVER IT IS,
I'M SORRY I WAS YOUR CHILD,
BUT NOW DADDY,
I HAVE TO LEAVE FOR A LONG WHILE

great write. my dad left me when i was 2, and i havent heard or seen anything of him since. not even a picture.
