Why can’t I tell you what you mean to me?
Why can’t I show you, why can’t you see?
Why am I afraid of speaking to you?
How am I going to go on, what am I to do?
I care for you so much, yet you just don’t know,
But I just can’t tell you, I just can’t show.
I just can’t talk, can barely speak,
When I’m around you, even my knees feel weak.
What to do, what to say,
Why do I do this day after day?
Three simple words, that I have to do,
Open my mouth and say, “I love you.”
So many nights have I lie awake and thought,
Some courage and answers are what I sought.
Such a simple solution is in front of my eyes,
Just out of reach, above my head and beyond the skies.
Funny how love can hurt so much,
Funny how it pains me such.
Funny how you can do this to me,
Funny how I’m tortured constantly.
How can something so great be worth all this pain?
Don’t know what to do, just can’t get you out of my brain.
Not eating, losing oh so precious sleep,
You are the reason why I weep.
I wish that we could be together,
I wish you knew I will love you forever.
I also wish the pain would go away,
But I want your love, I wish that to stay.
So, as each day passes, there you will be,
A constant pain, yet a love to me.
I’ll care for you always, that is true,
And I wish you knew that I truly love you.
