Life as I know it

Contributed by Gimpie on Saturday, 16th October 2004 @ 11:14:34 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

I'd like to say I'm somewhat sane
That darkness won't consume
Though I feel nothing now can save me
For my heart feels so deep that I'm doomed,

Although writing can give me some peace
I don't think it works good enough
Cause I still bear inside so much anger
And letting go proves way too tough,

Nobody here understands me
They just shake their heads and walk past
My dad acts like I'm such a burden
And that one day I'll prove it at last,

My brother takes after my father
He treats me like woman are ****
I'm surprised my mom didn't leave sooner
I guess she finally got tired of being hit,

My oldest brother was somehow far worse
To him words were nothing but bull
He hated me for simply living
So I made many trips to the hospital,

Courts are pointless and the system is flawed
They never cared what I had to say
They only listened to the "wise" adults
So I'm back in this Hell today,

But there's one ray of hope to this story
My friend who I've known for years
He's watched me break in every way
And for some reason......he's still here.
