The trees obscure my vision
As the darkness chases after me
It’s arms twist and turn through the branches
Destroying the light as I run
As I run
Through the undergrowth
The sun I can hear, It screams, It shouts, It cries
It bleeds
For the darkness advances, with piercing cold
Songbirds cease to sing as I run
As I run
Near a clearing I stop and turn to see
Darkness has caught up with me
The owls call in sympathy
I can’t escape
I can’t escape
