"He dreamed, for once, that the dreams would stop dreaming
kindled by day, the clouds shrieking across the horizon
windshield wishes all wiped away because the tears wouldn't stop
(And they argued)
Over the had had that that and the too too neversung
And he laughed, because it was the only thing left to do
As the wind-torn whispers flocked like sparrows to the windowpanes
(—If you sit quietly, you can almost—)
hear the cracking sounds
as you tread right over your looking glass dreams . .
