Another Mouth

Contributed by brigitte7735 on Saturday, 16th October 2004 @ 12:32:22 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I'm searching for another mouth
For nights when urge dilutes reason
The calming clutch of a stranger
Ally to my body's treason

I'm searching for another mouth
To coddle insecurity
Lavish praise on my greedy ears
Shawled by faux humility

I'm searching for another mouth
To thieve the words I admire
But could never manage myself
A coward's ploy to inspire

I'm searching for another mouth
One doesn't fulfill as three will
A naive boy to cement worth
Until I tire of the thrill

Then I search for another mouth
Steal a kiss, a heart or thought
Find a fresh, unsuspecting soul
Run from affliction I begot

I'm searching for one perfect mouth
Unsatisfied by sensation
I search on, but none can answer
Demands of imagination

Very interesting. The imagination always far outweighs reality doesn't it? Take heart...after all these years (and you know I'm old) my reality actually is catching up a little. Yes, it does get better. Nice write. Very nice.

my comments usually consist of me rambling about my inabiltiy to comment very well, so i'll skip all that and keep this brief. this scrawl was original, well-formed, and inspiring. it gets a bag of berry skittles. damn good show.

universal. everyone can relate to at least one stanza, if not all. i would quote what i love but that would betray which stanzas i relate to and that would be a bit too revealing for me.
fabu*****lous write.
