The Dark One

Contributed by Em61 on Friday, 15th October 2004 @ 11:53:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

The sun is setting as she walks onto the beach, her arms folded across her chest. The warm sand
caressing her small feet. A gentle breeze flows in off the ocean blowing back her hair away from
her face revealing that of a woman but the eyes are those of an innocent child. She holds her self
and breaths in deep the salty air a chill runs through her though the night is warm and inviting.
The beach holds no one but her as she watches the finale rays of the sun sink below the horizon.
Her head falls back as she relaxes into the night a sigh escapes her lips. She has longed dreamed
for a love to share this with. The man who could see it as she does, a man who could see inside
her soul a love like no other. She longs for him to come to her for him to take her away from the
world she knows. A love that could never be denied.
She can almost feel his arms around her, he is her comfort, her weakness, her hearts desire.
She almost feel his chest against her back, his heart beat joining hers. Her hair blowing past his
encircling them, as he pulls her close, holding tight to her, his cheek to hers. Her skin begins to
come alive at the thought of him pushing against her.
In this dream world she has created no sound would she ever hear as he approached only the
beating of the waves in rhythm to her own heart. He would seem to come from nowhere with
never a sound, save the whispers he would placed in her tiny ears....'I am here my love'. The
world around them would cease to exist as they clung to each other. There would be no sound no
light nothing but them.
Then as surely as she breathed she could feel him there. Her eyes opened slightly, not wanting
the dream to be over, glancing down she saw first his hands over hers. Then came the warmth of
his embarrass. Her mind reeled at the thoughts and feelings running through her. The dream of
how he would turn her to face him...his eyes...how they would bore through her, how she would
be powerless when in his presence. This dark and mysterious man that holds her soul captive,
this soulful creature that she has no power to resist. Her mind no longer sure if she is wishing,
imagining, dreaming or living this wonderful moment. His fingers interlace in her hair as he pulls
her face back to gaze into her eyes, their darken earth color ignites a fire in his blood. Her lips
part as he brings them to his, the heat from him makes her melt even further into him. His strong
hands hold her firm to him. She can feel the desire rise in him as he presses her lips to his. What
is this power he has over her, her body is not under her will but his. Everything begins to spin
around her. Time no longer has any meaning.
Soon the darkness has engulfed them, this is his time. He whispers strange yet familiar words
she does not understand and flashes of another life pass through her. This is what he has waited
for, he knows that soon she shall be his forever. This man has shown her his memories,
memories that she knows as her own, the same memories the same past. He knows he needed
only to bring them back to the surface. Her mind reels as these thoughts and feeling emerge, she
does not understand it yet but the feelings grow stronger with each passing moment. He lifts her
in his arms, and before she knows how or why, they are no longer on the beach. He has taken
them to a far away place, a place where neither pain nor sorrow exist. His strong arms setting her
down gently. He gazes deep into her eyes, her knees weaken as he holds her tight to him. He
places gentle loving kisses on her lips. Her heart pounds with all the fury of the sea. His hand
caresses the her hair, his touch so loving, his kisses cover her cheek, her neck. There is a strange
fear that something is not quite right yet a longing for him to make her his. He lays her gently
back, as he does she ponders this man before her. Where had he come from? Why had he come ?
Was it only to hold her ? Was it only to keep away the night ? The loneliness ? She realized it did
not matter...he was here...loving her. The passion in his eyes as he came to her was endless. His
whispers of love broke loose in her like the crashing surf. Her breath came quickly as he began
touching her, her chest heaving, her body eager with anticipation of him.

Then she is alone...sitting straight up, gasping for breath she realizes that she is back on the
beach....but how ? no no it can't be...she falls back crying...her trembling fingers move to her
lips.... she can still feel his lips on hers ...confusion fills her entire being...she clasps her knees to
her chest and sobs.....is he real or just a sweet sweet dream...will she ever really know ?
A thousand miles away he sits...fist clenched....sorrow and rage build inside in him...he will
let no other have her.....it took him too long to find her again.....then sunrise cut short his
endeavers to hold her...he vows to reach for her again and again until she comes to him
forever....until his love has filled her with all the love and knowlegde of their souls !

This poem is composed beautifully, the only downside to it, is that it is too wordy for me, it was like reading a story, or a letter, but it is still a good write.
