never-care syndrome

Contributed by innerbeautyqueen on Friday, 15th October 2004 @ 11:40:24 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

"broken" seems so over used
deprived souls and sardonic abused
no one cares what's in your heart
no one cares you've been dead from the start
and when you're children, you're told tales
of shinning knights who never fail
and obvious evil he's soon to defeat
a painless death they're sure to meet
but knights aren't real, true heros few
and monsters don't seem the way you'd chose
not under you bed or black pedestals rised
not on political stands to this county abide
they come with misery and your lack there of
to kill all hopes of the heavens above
they dash your dreams of wings of white
and send your soul to treacherous flight
they live in houses just like you
in suburbs small and churches too
they live in cities in rooms they hoard
and when they feel you aren't theirs anymore
you aren't their child, not theirs to love
you're evil and wild, not sent from above
and when your life ends and they're left to stay
they won't care then, never did anyway..

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
