And dreams are lying to me,
About why you like to be discrete
And then the night I called you, and you said,
“Hey, lets meet, we could talk this out, and make the best of everything”
And oh, after that
I took cold showers for three days straight
In hopes of drowning my dreams in what I thought might be fate.
Another nightmare has just swept in and taken over me.
I know you’re over me.
Waves are crashing against my mind,
This time around I’d like to see how truly horrible you can be.
So I’m burning candles, to emit your smell out of me.
There’s disappearing stars settling down in your eyes,
But they were never really there.
And the overcast won’t let me take pictures of the moon tonight.
