A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE

"A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE"

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE.....
One old love from her past,
She can imagine going back to fast!
And one who reminds her today
Just how far she has come in every way!

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE.....
Enough money within her control,
To move out and rent a place of her own.
A peaceful refuge to rest her riddled soul.
Even if she never needs a safety zone.

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE.....
One perfect dress to wear,
One to be worn anywhere.
If her employer or date of her dreams
comes calling near!
In one hour be dressed unaware!

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE.....
A youth she's content to leave behind,
A past "juicy" enough to be told
When she is old, and tells if so inclined!
Excitingly and yes, even bold!

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE....
A set of screwdrivers,
A cordless drill, and a black lace bra!
One friend who makes her laugh for hours,
And one who lets her cry when raw.

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE.....
One good piece of furniture,
All her own, not previously owned
by anyone.
Especially not from her family either
And not the bargain table or auction.

A WOMAN SHOULD HAVE......
A feeling of control over her own life.
And be able to love someone without
losing herself in all the strife.
She should know how to change a tire,
And how to quit a job without being
a liar!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.....
How to confront friends,
Without ruining the friendships
She can't change the length of her
waist from beginning to end,
Or the width of her hips.

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW......
She has no control over the kind
of parents she may inherit,
And if she had a terrible childhood,
get over it!!!
Don't pick up where they left off
it has no merit!!!
Reassemble the pieces, and move on
live a life that to you will fit!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.....
When to try harder.....and
when to walk away!
If she can change it, have the
strength each day.
And if not, be gracious enough
to cut her loses and get out!
Love herself enough, without
harboring doubt!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW......
What she would do for love or more.
She may not like it, but how to live alone?
Have the means to make a choice
without rancor!
Not being forced out of necessity
but free will of her own!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.....
Whom she can trust,
And those she can't
Which friend for her is dearest,
A true Rembrandt!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.....
Because she is sensitive,
How not to take things personally,
If hurt, how to forgive,
How to have the ability to go on living happily!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW....
She needs a spiritual side to herself,
A comforter, or a place to go for comfort
She can't live all alone unto oneself.
How to be a "Kindness Expert"
and never blurt!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW.....
That as she grows older,
Her outside beauty will fade,
Maintain her grace, without being bitter!
A loving heart she cannot shade!

A WOMAN SHOULD KNOW......
To surround herself with beauty
Beautiful friends, beautiful music,
Beautiful thoughts, beautiful logic.
Appreciate, be thankful........
And be very grateful!

"I have a beautiful
friend that was kind
enough to send this to me
The poem is mine."

"There is in every true woman's heart,
a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant
in the broad daylight of prosperity, but which
kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark
hour of adversity!"
~Washington Irvin~
