Shadows In The Trees

Contributed by jaeann on Friday, 15th October 2004 @ 02:14:17 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Run to the forest
find the willow tree
his energy restores you
there's a higher self to see.

Run to the forest
break down the tallest wall
his energy believes in you
no need for you to stall.

Run to the forest
hide not from the sin
his energy knows you
his touch has always been.

Run to the forest
wait for the healing tears
his energy to bring them for you
he'll erase all your fears.

She ran to the forest
gave him all that she could give
his noble energy engulfed her
and she began to live.

She settled in the forest
and waited patiently
his energy slowly left her
as her tears flowed blatantly.

She's not safe alone in the forest
giving sin absolution in it's place
his energy no longer receives her
she's suspended without a trace.

She's hiding in the forest
lost and all alone
no energy to know her
her walls now set the tone.
