Afterglow

Contributed by sicknivesevered on Friday, 15th October 2004 @ 07:27:52 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

I laugh at you
You truly are less than nothing
And for that
I love you even more
Its a sick perversion that I have to keep up
(Remember, my love was untrue)
So I sit here idle in bedding
Waiting for the next blow from you
And when it comes
I come
I laugh again
You wish to hurt but all it does is please
I'm tortured by the memories
But the present state puts me at ease
(be disgusted - vomit blood
burn your eyes - spit; curse; kill me)
How lovely
How exceedingly grand
If only you would go that far maybe you'd understand
The tears
The laughter
The silence
These words
All the little pieces I've bled into musical chords
I want to laugh again
The urge is overbearing
I want to laugh so hard that it can't escape your hearing
But I ask myself
What's the ***** point?
And then I realize
That its just not a choice
My hand is shaking
My brain's on fire
I've driven to the end
But it just keeps soaring higher
I stare at it...
I stare for so long...
I stare for way too long...

(you're nothing more than a *****
A little ***** to fade
I opened up my soul
And this is how I'm repaid
I ***** hate you
You already know that
I ***** hate you
I hope you feel that...)

Crack
Sliding down your face
I breathe through it when your minds misplaced
How can something so beautiful break at the leave of a touch?
I lick your broken wings
Did you want as much?

I
DID
NOT

This gets me into the kind of mood where I wanna do something sadistic lol. Great poem, you really reflect pure anger and throw it back to the reader so that they feel the same thing.

Afterglow = Angry... O_o

I enjoy your style, as I enjoy raging lyrics from time to time, but I prefer SAD lyrics (Malice Mizer + Dir en grey = Cookie Heaven ^-^). I promise to try and read some more, but let me talk about THIS poem for now. I felt that it had to do with SEX (correct me if I'm wrong). You made the actions carried out by the speaker seem QUITE grotesque, and it was almost as if they knew what they were doing was so disgusting. Kinda self-loathing. Neato! ;) I liked it, though. Good job!

My fav line..

'The urge is overbearing
I want to laugh so hard that it can't escape your hearing'

Breathtaking...simply that.
5 out of 5.
