The news had swooped in every ear,
And sank the hearts of might
The king is dead, the king is dead
They said was no delight
The town was shocked n' filled with fear
Grown ups and kids did cry
The king is dead, the king is dead
Their tears were sure a fright
As they burned in shock and tears
A broken man appeared.
The enemy's in town and set to kill
The man did now depart
Here in this town with much dismay
Bones, blood and silence.
Fumes and fire with such display
The king is dead, now none to say.
