Of melting sun and yielding dreams…
The last sail in the sunset spoke of thee.
Wind-worn magic on the waves again,
When the North Star shone for thee.
Carved in gold at the birth of dawn,
When unuttered oaths of ages shine,
Fragile cords binding us deep within,
In jaded knots that can never untwine.
Hold me in crystal tears that give rainbows
to light…holder of aeons and untainted skies,
That I may be found in the arms of hope itself,
If I may be found in the voice of your eyes.
Shields of faith guard this soul-lit shore,
Whence flows light in an endless drift,
And traced by the finger of love itself,
Stand silver etched visions in the mist.

I love the theme of a sea voyage. Utterly poetic - it reminds me both of Valinor and of the Irish legend of Brendan. The delicate mythic touch is a wonderful side of this poem, which is lovely.
