Welcome to my Mind

Contributed by Gimpie on Thursday, 14th October 2004 @ 07:37:24 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Look into my mind and see all that I see
Everything I know and what I long to be,
Many doors are wating for you to come and try
Find the key, unlock each one, and hurry up inside.

You'd never know the things I've felt unless I let you in
Well here's the entrance, wipe your feet, and leave behind your sin,
Feel free to roam and walk around, you'll be surprised to find
All the crazy-twizted things that float inside my mind.

"Home Sweet Home" hangs on the wall if to your left you look
And further on you'll notice shelves are lined with many books,
You can read which ever one you feel the urge to read
Though be forwarned you're heart will either cring, cry , or bleed.

Keep walking when you're finished and I promise quite a sight
Many of my inner demons are tied up nice and tight,
But careful where you wander for not all of them are here
Stray from the path I've made and they will show you real true fear.

Not everything is bad if you'd simply look above
One level up you'll find a room that's filled with warmth and love,
I keep this place well hidden, and don't show it very much
So mind your manners dearly and be careful what you touch.

Breath-taking sunsets are painted on the door
And notice as you're walking all the hearts that line the floor,
My hopes and dreams are in a box just slightly to your right
And to the rear are all the things I dream about each night.

Well, that is everything that I guess you'd care to see
Oh, I forgot to tell you one important part of me,
I refuse to change for anyone and life is but a game
So kindly take your things and exit out the way you came.

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! What a clever idea....walking into your mind.......was rather exciting for me to see what I could find. The room I loved best is the one you rarely let other see.........filled with love and warmth, and how refreshing to read you have a mind all of your mind. No one is going to change it, and you even have integrity to take a stand for those that try it!
This was a wonderful write.........I enjoyed it to no end!
Keep writing Jess..........and welcome aboard again! We're so glad you chose to join us!
Hugs
