'Neath The Weeping Willow

Contributed by Cynthia on Thursday, 14th October 2004 @ 04:47:24 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

~*Sigsations*~

She shows up
on the anniversary
of his death,
she sits by his headstone
and gently weeps.

She places freshly cut roses
upon the ground,
she places her hand
to feel every crevasse
of his name in stone.

A single tear
licks her cheek
as she bows her head.

She says a prayer
to keep his soul safe....
she whispers the name
of her unborn child.

Can I have a Mod change the "Father's Day Poetry" to "Emotional." That's what I picked the first time, then it got changed. Thank you. *S* Cynthia

This is beautiful. There's just no other way to put it... it's sad - but it's also powerful, you cannot help but be moved by it.

Beautiful. (sigh)
