Forgiveness

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Lost in time, wandering through this maze within my mind,
Turn the corner, another dead end, back track but yet the maze shifted again,
Which way to go, I haven't a clue, lost within my mind searching for you,

Memories of the past, pain from a heartbreak that tends to last,
In search of shelter but there's none to find, seeking closer for a heart that's blind,
Calculated and cold, the mind slowly desect the soul,

Like an inmate I'm locked away, being tortured by a demon each and everyday,
Pulling at the bars trying to escape, realizing I'm lost somewhere between time and space,
Hope begains to fade, feeling as if I'll never be saved,

Look into the mirror at those eyes of shame, Knowing there's no one else in this world to blame,
I'm the one that caused this mess, so now I'm the one who needs to confess,
If you don't know, you are my heart, and with out you I would fall apart,

So here I am to face my fate, asking you to clear the slate,
From your path I have strayed, I pray you will gather my soul and light the way,
Only you have the power to heal a wounded soul, and so I place myself in your hands to hold.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom
