Bittersweet Strokes

With blood trickling down
My already scarred arms,
Depression and Anguish
Enforce more self-harm.
Angst returns, once again
Bringing more twisted thoughts;
A sincere wish for my death
Can no longer be fought.
Behind a locked door,
In the dark, by myself,
Slashing the knife,
Destructing myself.
Pressing hard on the blade,
Carving into my wrist,
I contemplate how
I won’t even be missed.
Choking on tears,
Too much pride left to cry,
I know that I’m worthless,
All I deserve is to die.
A waste of good space,
Such a waste of a life;
I’m fixing the mistake
With bittersweet strokes of a knife.

How sad I hope it's just a poem. Please don't hurt yourself.
