LET ME COME HOME

Scattered orbs of colored light.
Explode in to my mind tonight.
Engulf my head with enchanted gleam.
Catch large mouth bass from a clear blue stream.
Streets lined with cobble stones.
Queen of ENGLAND still rules the throne.
Egyptians mummify their bones.
Wounded animals wail and moan.
Homeless man has no home.
Stray dog chews on a bone.
Surrounded by people yet I feel all alone.
Like ice cream without a cone.
Straddling the danger zone.
Will someone let me come home.

You're a poet after my own heart; not profligate with words.
Good write.
