A Simple Stare

Topic: LovePoetry

well hello there how do you do
i saw your stare i see you too
all soon it's gone and then i leave
but i'd be wrong i do perceive...
nothing is keeping us from conversation
before too long i could reach your station
changing the set with exchange of a number
attach it to a name and then i'll slumber

as i was there
as you were here
sat in my chair
and you came near.
i'll wait to speak
no you won't go
no time to think
on what i know.

come show your smile it looks so cute
in painted style i'll be astute
with grace a grin will paint my space
i could give in to fall in chase...
whatever happened to our surroundings
i couldn't remember all the right things
you spoke in a breeze, spoke in a please
and then for the record an even tease

just where we are
from when we came
in counted cars
looks the same.
now then we go
before the night
so we could know
yes this is right.

it's wonderful i feel the pull
my stomach cries that it's not full
in company i could choose free
to dine the night with you and me
no wonder where that simple stare
went off to now i just don't care
it's wonderful i feel the pull
my hunger pines that it's not full

while this one stain could stay as plain
between us there is no thing feign
in smart address there's nothing less
you come across i'm feeling blessed...
something tells me this isn't the ending
keeping it in mind that i'm not pretending
i spent down the day, spent through the way
still keep spending so then you could say

it's almost full i feel the pull
my stomach cries that it's not full
in company i will choose free
to dine the night with you and me
no wonder where that simple stare
went off to now i know just where
it's wonderful i feel the pull
the hunger pines that it's not full

(*grin* don't ask where it came from!!
i was in one of those moods...)
