Alone
You perform the birthrites
You let it in but now your mind has changed
Anew
You place it out of site
Just the surface of the deaths you'll come to fate
STORED AWAY
YOU WALK AWAY
A SUITCASE BECOMES AN INFANT'S GRAVE
FADE TO GREY
EVIDENCE DECAYS
A NEW LIFE FOR YOU TO PAVE
TAKING LIFE
NOT MATURED
REDEFINE
YOUR NATURE
Again
You undertake the pain
A second time, a second state for you to defame
Awake
It suffers the same
A nameless face that you erase just to stay the same
STORED AWAY
YOU WALK AWAY
A SUITCASE BECOMES AN INFANT'S GRAVE
FADE TO GREY
EVIDENCE DECAYS
A NEW LIFE FOR YOU TO PAVE
TAKING LIFE
NOT MATURED
REDEFINE
YOUR NATURE
They're crying to you, mother
They're crying "not another"
Yet you shove it in a bag
The third one with a bloody rag
Your candestine acts
They're pushing you backwards
The babies whisper
And now they're catching up
CATCHING UP
CATCHING UP
TAKING LIFE
NOT MATURED
REDEFINE
YOUR NATURE

Seems like a death-metal lyric-poem to me, and as such it isn't half bad. A bit morbid for my tastes, but decent none-the-less. I do like the structure; although it isn't immediately obvious it's there, and it works. |
