Life's Endeavour

In the temperate hours when
Dusk becomes dawn
And birds of a feather briskly swarm
Beauty skin-deep flows
Down through the soul
To the eyes of egotistic control
Pacing alone on a tight rope airborne
Over defeat where pride does mourn
Gracefully juggling life’s diamond balls
A slip of a limb announces mortal great falls,
Foreseeing the glitter and the key to success,
Is just beyond reach of what you possess
With a breath of will and one lordly leap
The once feeble minded takes the sweep
With that, late twilight begins to unfold
As stars reflect the rocky, missions gold
