Dead Soul Scribes

Contributed by ryanjoesphliedtky on Wednesday, 13th October 2004 @ 01:35:31 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Stopping by, in a manner I cannot describe,
I fell upon the ashes of the dead soul scribes.
Each one said, upon the journey, and cried
To me, the living soul, for help, "Thou shall not survive!"

What, once, did they say? I wondered.
Did they tell of the truth of their day? I pondered.
Slowly, softly, I spoke to them, the ashes of the scribes,
"What is your purpose?" And they to me, "You shall not survive!"

Confused, what do they speak of
That has no answer than, "Thou shall not survive."?
The winds circled and howled above,
And spoke again, "Thou shall not survive!!"

Three ghostly figures appeared before me,
Each one silently standing not dead, not alive!
"You think you live," said one, "You think you are free.
You are not! You shall not survive!"

Each one gasped, screamed into the night
With such a shrill as to destroy the moonlight.
"You thought of hate and you strive,
In spite, to prove yourself right. You shall not survive!!!!"

I panicked to think of what they meant,
And found them to speak of my life!
What they told was of the meek
Failing to find a way to make their will survive.

"Those who fail to find themselves," it is scribed,
"Fail to find God, and thus shall not survive!"
