When I met you,
I thought you were you a God send.
Now I'm not so sure.
I met you vertically on the street.
A bald guy with tattoo's.
I was way out of your league.
I believed you to be honest & full of truth.
Then it happened,
"BOOM"!
We fell in love.
I trusted you & you broke my heart in two.
You left it crumbling at my feet.
My dreams lye dead like a withered rose.
My future once more bleak.
All because of you!
I realize now you used me for your own gain.
You'd come!
You'd go!
You'd flit!
You fly!
While I'd sit & watch the world go by.
By the seat of your pants you'd go.
Never caring that you hurt me so.
My world is gone!
My heart is broken!
My soul is bleeding!
All because of you!
Do you still care?
I don't know how I feel.
I still want you sometimes.
This rejection from you has left me in shambles.
The lies! All to pacify me.
The games I'm no longer willing to play.
I do no longer want to be hurt by you.
My life a pile of ruble!
My trust lost forever!
The flame extinguished!
All because of you!
The tears I've cried.
The times I waited for you to show up.
Calling you just so I could hear your voice.
Wanting you near me, longing for you when you weren't.
Doing whatever you asked of me no questions asked.
Is this how you repay me?
My days lonely!
My nights even worse!
Not trusting anyone!
All because of you!
You say it's because I was engaged at one time.
You know as well as I do that in God's eyes it's over between him & I.
You're looking at mans laws.
You say it's because of your job.
Once again mans laws.
What are you running from?
I laughed once upon a time!
I smiled then too!
Now I'm crushed!
All because of you!
If you asked anything of me out of respect for you I did it.
I tried so hard to please you. What did I get in return?
Half truths?
A broken heart?
Salty tears?
Broken promises?
Dead dreams?
You said you'd never hurt me.
You left me!
In the cold!
In the dark!
&
All alone!
I'm scared!
I'm shaken to the core!
I'm lost to the world forever!
All because of you!
