The Cross As The Entrance To The Holy Kingdom

Contributed by Lee on Wednesday, 13th October 2004 @ 11:48:05 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

My Lord Jesus
How hard a struggle it must have
Been for you nailed
To the Cross and
Enduring so much pain

My Lord Jesus
If I had been one of the
Faithful Disciples
At the Cross
By Your Body
How sorrowful would I have been
That my tears could not soothe/heal
Your wounds

My Lord Jesus
I have come to an understanding
Because the natural world can be
So demanding
But my longing to be near You
Has turned my sorrow
Into joy
Some people see the Cross as merely the
Death of the Son of God
I see the Cross as the
Entrance to the Holy Kingdom

Thank you for displaying the hope we have from the act of justice and mercy at the cross!
