Hamlet's Dilemma

To love, or love with haste;
a simple, yet taunting riddle from Shakespeare
himself that turns my mind to waste.
With your implying eyes and sly lips
come a glow, a soft radiance near
the surface, like a lonely snowflake
that falls forever before disappearing.
Your gentle touch and melodious
voice keep me from fading into
the shadows; away from the void.
Posing a cool decorum with a teasing
smile relieves me from the grips of reality,
freeing me, inspiring my thoughts.
So i await with my feelings aside for
a chance to match your tenderness;
for as special things come in small packages,
with patience, all good things come in time.
