Ode To A Mobster

Contributed by Fwog on Friday, 15th November 2002 @ 06:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Death is my friend!
Throughout my short turbulent life
It followed like a butler in my footsteps
Many died!
With the echo of my laughter
Ringing in their ears
Then retribution!
Tonight in a deserted parking lot
Death entertained
I felt the steel of my assassin
Enter my body again and again.

The living were deeply moved
The living partied long and hard
Most rejoiced ,one cried alone
I was borne through the streets of my youth
In a carriage so refined
A choir sang, joy to the world
May his soul rest in peace
In the distance a voice did call
Judgment day is nigh
Nothing to lose, nothing to fear
Your Maker awaits on high.

Dearest Dallas @-<<-
Ohhhh boy! This one opened up a huge can of worms with me lmao... guess who that was your poems about? My great great or gr gr gr uncle lol Our family has a belief that he was not shot on that fateful night, as the mortician said the man's eyes were either brown or blue and Uncle John's were the opposite I forget would have to ask the family lol..
On a positive note we also have a great composer in the family with statues of him all over Prague:)
great write though.. hehe
huggs always, your friend Nessa
