Siren's Edge

Contributed by jaeann on Tuesday, 12th October 2004 @ 03:37:19 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You show your wounded soul
so that it may be be free
heart be soundly told
no one really sees.

Little girl.....her heart of gold
is buried within her sleep
siren stamps her body sold
no request ever to steep.
Searching for shadows in her night
little one paces with heated rage
not the anger that blinds one sight
but the passion that breaks her free from her cage.
Her sanity is no longer an issue
siren darkly has her back
lest the self-destructions ensue
she's left all alone on this track.

You show your wounded soul
so that it may breathe free
broken heart cannot be told
no one ever sees.

Little one's daylight is filled with tears
and in her night....demons overrun
consistent abandonment forever sears
her soulful ache is never done.
Caught in the snare of siren's edge
she slowly dons her garb
no other way, she can't stop to hedge
how long before the sting of the barb.
She's lost now, broken at their will
with no defense she faltered over the line
siren came in when she was still
crushed, she couldn't see the signs.

You lay open your very soul
so it can fly free
mangled heart cannot be told
no one cares to see.

No outlet for passioned energy
everyone partakes then departs
no one to calm the frightened synergy
they all checkout after start.
Siren saw her rage and enfolded her
told little girl she'd be all right
wished her to sleep and took over
no need to heal when you're out of sight.
She's gone now.... tucked inside her forst walls
though siren possesses her vehicle to please
no one stayed to heed her begging calls
so now she's under siren's will to appease.

Layed out her wounded soul
so that healing could free
futility's tale be told
no one ever wants to see.

Very deeply thought out poem, my friend, and yet I think I can relate........no one really wants to hear.....and sometimes not even you yourself...........she does take over many times, and always when you least expect her!
But with time and I mean lots and lots of time Jaymee.........she will fade.......sometimes so deeply you will actually have to call upon her before she will show herself again!
I hope for your sake that is very soon!
Love you
consue

I can feel this one....such dark despair. I know the depths of this emotion....it can overwhelm. I want you to know I am here if you ever need to talk, just a pm away my dear friend.
