It's too quiet
I can not hear the yelling
I can not hear the screams
A minute ago I heard a gunshot
Now too quiet it seems
I can not hear papa yelling at mamma no more
I can't hear mamma's screams seeping through my
Bedroom door
It's to quiet
I wonder why
As I walk to the room dreading my surprise
It's too quiet
As they lay on the floor
It's too quiet
Mom and dad will fight no more
