I wish I could see your smile.

Contributed by lowman613 on Tuesday, 12th October 2004 @ 08:59:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Mom, I wish I could see your smile,
If only for a short while,
Its not the same looking at a photo of you,
I need to see those eyes of blue,
I think how much things have changed,
how much the furnitures been rearranged,
the kids are older and one more has been born,
our hearts are broken not just torn,
three years gone with out your face,
memmories of you we cant erase,
I miss you so, we all really do,
I just wish I could talk to you,
Thats something I surely miss,
the kids need your tender kiss,
I still cry I hope thats ok,
The pain will never go away,
I'm sorry if I still seem sad,
but I see the pain inside dad,
hes lonely mom with out you here,
I dont have to see his tears,
I see it on his sad face,
when he goes to a familar place,
places, things, dates that remind him of you,
Is hard for him to just get through,
We need to see your smile,
Mom, if only for awhile,
I know your happy in Heavens gate,
Not having you near is what I hate.

For my mom who passed on Oct. 25th 2001
We all miss you!

Oh Christina this is so sad, and yet so kind and loving too! It's so hard to go on living without someone you adored! I'm so sorry your Mother is no longer with you except in your heart........I know it's not the same!
But by writing beautiful poems to honor her like this one........she will stay alive from year to year!
What a honorable and beautiful tribute
Warm hugs and love to you and yours,
ConSue
PS. It's all right to be sad, Christina.......but someday you'll meet once again!
