Lost without hope

Contributed by loulou on Tuesday, 12th October 2004 @ 12:39:17 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

A life alone,
Is like music with no tone.
Where is my special one hiding?
With myself I'm constantly fighting.

Searching the earth inside and out,
My mind now fills with doubt.
I keep on looking but I'm so far away,
The person of my dreams is in my mind everyday.

Could it be that I'm doomed to never love,
But still I look behind each person's hug.
As I listen to the world I can't help but feel as if they're here,
But as I listen I do not use my human ears.

The pressure's building and I start to choke,
What is it that chokes: my dreams and hope.
Everything is fading to black,
How I wish I could turn time back.

But as I sit here and search,
My pumkin turns to a hurse.
False non heart ach; I'm tired of fakin,
Times up... the posion has taken.

It's the end of the line,
If only I had more time.

Is so true in so many people I know. Poetry like this makes me stop and think about the time I've wasted, and makes me think harder about wasting more time... Very good poem!!!
