AN INSTRUMENT OF PRAISE

Contributed by joe-joe on Monday, 11th October 2004 @ 05:04:53 PM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

Be what you were created to be an instrument of praise,

Letting the Spirit of God blow through you with the voice of triumph and with the wind of His power and glory!

Don’t let the weight of life weigh you down, but layaside every weight and the sin that does so easily beset,

And look to Jesus, to Him that was pierced in His hands and feet!

Be an instrument of praise used in the sanctuary of life to lift the spirit of the congregation up out of the dumps,

Let the joy of the Lord flow from every crack and crevice of your soul, giving us smooth sailing over every hump and bump,

He will hear from heaven and send forth Angels to deliver and set free!

Draw from the well of living waters springing up out of your heart unto everlasting life,

Drink of its life giving nectar, it will fill your soul with the joys of newfound life!

Rejoice and be glad, singing and making melody in your heart,

He will never leave or forsake us; He has been with us from the start!

Be an instrument of praise that is what you were created to be,

Singing a joyous song of worship and praise,

Let the people sitting in darkness hear and those that are prisoners to their own personal fear,

He will hear from heaven and send forth Angels to deliver and set free!

For His glory and honor were we made, in His own image has He created us,

No longer in sin and shame shall we abide, we are delivered from our arrogance and pride,

Humbling ourselves to sing a new song, penned in His blood, which was shed for whosoever in Him will believe,

For through Him, and through Him alone victory over evil will we achieve!

Be an instrument of praise!

I personally thought that was a wonderful poem. It truly depicts what happens when we place our trust in the Lord. Wonderful job and I look forward to reading more of your poetry!
