ode to pink sweater

Contributed by herecomesthesun on Friday, 15th November 2002 @ 03:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

kinda layed face down on the grass this evening. i got a little dirty but i didnt mind. i was just waiting for the grass to grow over me and my pink sweater. i didnt want to cry anymore though, just wanted mama to fix me some macaroni. i then rolled over, to see if the clouds were gone. but they wernt. me and my pink sweater stayed here for a long time.
then wind blew in my ear and told me it promised that the clouds would move soon, and that the macaroni was done. i smiled. i didnt move for a while though, just sat and thought about what the wind had told me and smiled real good. my pink sweater and i started to see the clouds move and the sun shined through them a little. it made me happy that the wind had kept his word. i waited for another little bit and watched the clouds move around. then the sun was gleaming onto my face, and made me and my pink sweater warm again. i didnt really want to move. the flowers came out and made that pretty smell for my nose. the bugs crawled over me, i named them all and smiled at them. a bird sang a song for my ears, and reminded me about the macaroni my mama made me. i stayed here with my pink sweater for a long while. i just smiled at the sun and ate the macaroni my mama made me. im glad i waited with my pink sweater.
