You Don't Need Legs To Be Tall.

YOU DON’T NEED LEGS TO BE TALL…(©Peter Sprenkeler)

Superman died today…a legend and hero,
On and off the screen…the man stood tall.
Slain by an accident…yet undamaged was his resolve,
Only his legs failed as the result of his fall.

A tireless worker for the advancement of spinal research,
The man never letting his incapacity win.
Despite the enormous hurdles he had to overcome,
On his face…there was always an engaging grin.

Legless…yet he was a tower of inspiration,
For so many an encourager of enormous note.
You do not need legs to be a giant of a man,
As a genuine hero…Superman will get my vote.

More than Superman…he was a super human,
I stand as many do…in awe of the courage displayed.
His passing so sad…the man will be sorely missed,
His role even after death…will continue to be played.

Beautiful poem, about a man that was a superman for real, with all the work he has done, he is a legend one that no one will ever surpass.
Awesome poem, written with such pure heart.
