I can’t seem to find the words to describe the pain I’m feeling inside.
Torn between all the things I know to be true,
Foolishly still wanting to be with you.
Blinded by desire, I walked right into the fire.
If only I could have seen what fate had in store for me?
Lost along such a familiar road.
Betrayed, afraid, angry and ashamed.
There’s only so much one can prepare for.
Alone in my castle I cry.
Don’t rescue me.
Don’t shower me in lies.
I can’t hear you pounding upon my door.
I’m breaking free so you can’t hurt me anymore!
Under the cover of night I ride, knowing you’re never far behind.
Sleeping in cathedrals adorned with angels.
A single candle burning through the night.
The journey is never over, so through the days I ride.
