I Said No

Contributed by ShadowsCloud on Thursday, 14th November 2002 @ 11:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

I said no
But he didn't listen
I pleaded for him to stop
But he ignored my cries
I screamed for help
But he slapped me, splitting my lip
I tried to fight him
But he was stronger
I did my best to stop it
But he over powered me
I continued to struggle
But he put a knife to my throat
I begged him for mercy
But he did as he wanted
I prayed that someone would save me
But he got what he came for
I lay crying curled into a ball
But he paid me no heed
I knew that was no way to loose my virginity
But he didn't care
I said no
But in the end it didn't matter

Yes I have left him. Quite a while ago. It has just taken me some time to be able to write about it.

It saddens me beyond words Candice,
that there are individuals like this in our world, or anywhere for that matter!
Well done in writing these though, I hope it helps you to do so!
And I hope to see your inspiration coming from happier thoughts soon. That probably sounds a bit stupid but I don't know what else to say.

With love
Dean:-)

No it doesn't sound stupid at all. Thank you for your comment Dean. I hope that I can have a happier inspirtation myself. Because writing these poems has made me cry. But I think that it does help me to write about, at least that way it isn't all bottled up inside anymore.

This is so tragic ... I'm so glad you were able to leave him eventually. My heart goes out to you. It's also good that you can write your feelings down now - it always helps to pour it out. Good poem.

I hope you left him and put him in jail for what he did to you

I did leave him. I didn't put him in jail, probably should have. But I did see to it that he got help not only for the rape part but before that he used to beat me and he has gotten help for that too. I ran into him about 6 months ago, and he is married to one of my old friends, I talk to her ever so often an she has not shown any signs that he might be abusing her in any way so hopefully he has really gotten the help he needed so badly. I can only hope he doesn't do to her what he put me through, which is why I stay in touch with her just to make sure she is ok.
