I remember a picture if my brother
Dressed as Freddy Cougar, glove and all.
But he was not smiling.
I used to tease him about that,
Freddy would always smile right before the kill.
He would get mad and tell me to shut up
But I know he thought it was a funny picture too.
I have another picture of him
With out first kitten hanging from his shirt
He was wearing a brown sweated
And the little black ball of fluff was daggling off him so cutely.
That picture always makes us want to cry
For that little kitten only lasted a few more months
It never made it to the age of one.
And there is another picture of him
With my cousin everyone tells me is hot but really looks like a dork.
They are on my grandpa's bed
Arms over each other’s shoulders.
My brother was 11 and really sick at the time
I was so scared back then, I thought he would die he was always in pain.
That picture makes me think of fear and then relief because he was okay after all.
And there is another one of him and me
When I was 4 and he was 5
I was trying to look like a movie star
And he just looked a little creepy.
Mum loves that picture so much
It is always by her desk.
Makes me smile and think he really loved me
And it gives me hope that he will be like that again one day.
And there's on more picture of me and him
At our house of a boy, we hated.
His in a too big green coat
And I am in a purple one with a furry collar.
We are hanging of a poll in the backyard
Smiling brightly for the Polaroid camera.
It always reminds me of that boy
That almost broke my nose when he threw a rock at it.
All those pictures and there memories.
I will always hold them dearly in my heart.
