Our Watcher

Contributed by LOWMAN613 on Thursday, 14th November 2002 @ 08:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MothersDayPoems

She always leaned to watch for us,
Mad if we were late,
Waiting and looking out the window,
Never minding the wait,
and though we joked with her laughingly,
we know she did it out of care,
for on our way home felt safe,
Just knowing she was there,
she was our mother our watcher in the night,
Praying we got home to her,
and reasurred that we were all right,
but always asking where we were,
I could never forget,
watching us by the window,
I know shes doing it yet,
Waiting anxiously for our arrival home,
not knowing if we'd be there,
not knowing where we went to rome,
she did this out of care,
So I know now she must be still on the look out,
for our arrival to heavens door,
waiting patiently, no doubt,
like shes done many times before.

You have such a beautiful way
you express your love for your mom
It's so nice to see someone say
beautiful things about their parent
instead of bad, I really like the way
you put poems together, it's very
creative and most of your poems are
very inspiring to me, Thanks for sharing
