and i said i'd never make you cry,
and that tonight would be the very last time.
so we danced under palm trees,
and you stepped on my dress.
we savored our time,
and held remembrance of what we loved best-
when you made me smile more times than i can possibly count,
and it was under your breath when you said,
"you look gorgeous"
well, i have to confess,
i told you "my situation, its complicated"
and you said that you could understand.
then you looked me in the eye and smiled-
now im missing that again.
the way you laugh at everything,
the way you look me square in the eye,
the way you're pleasant to be around,
the way that when you're touching me,
i couldn't care if i were to die.
