He stays up all night catching words
still afloat from the passing day.
He can seize sunlight in his hand,
and make a rainbow from your smile,
or push the clouds around and rain
down his mighty wrath with a pen.
Ah, love a Poet? He will draw
you in with his sweet enticements.
His voice is like resting your ear
upon the ivory Grand keys
just to feel the beauty of it.
Ode to Joy are the sweetest words.
And where does his heart rest you ask?
Within his words, deep within his words.
Ah, love a Poet? He will leave
a watermark on your soul.
