Cherished Memories

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Sitting on your grandmas knee
Cuddles you and sets you free
To run outside and play
Beautiful dandelions on the way
You lay on the ground
Amazed at natures abound
Parade of all the critters pass by
Fascinated by the tiniest fly
Lying in the dandelions was the most fun of all
Bouquet was very pleasing to mother you recall
Lying on the ground gave a different view
Of all which God had to show you
Awestruck and content again
Just lie there and take it all in
No complexities to understand
Everything taken as best you can
Birds tweet and butterflies flitter
You are in love with all life's critters
Puppy bounds into the yard to play
Same zest for joy and life you display
You giggle and look up in the sky
As if to the Lord to say hi
Wouldn't surprise you at all
If an angle had broken your fall
In your innocence you were open to see
You did not question the validity
Of the splendor for you to enjoy
Supernatural was part of the little boy
No struggle to figure things out
Just to experience what it's all about
Who would have thought that a field of dandelions
Would have all the answers for mankind
Back onto grandma's lap you climb
To fall asleep in the sublime
A child in his innocence you see
Set free to live with you and me

Oh if only life could be that simple once again. Where does that line get crossed ? I really liked this one my friend ( I admit to negligence in checking in on you ) You are developing some fabulous writing styles. I love to see that happen !!! *****

Great write.
