truth, lies, and facts

Contributed by spaded on Thursday, 14th November 2002 @ 01:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

and everyone warned you to watch how you act
you can't cover the truth, with lies, that's a fact
so you are sitting here all alone and afraid
you don't want the credit for the mess that you've made

I can't help but feel sorry for you in this place
so broken down, helpless, and hiding your face
I know you never stop to think about what you do
you just charge ahead, be damned everyone but you
now the tables are turning and life can be cruel
you shouldn't play games untill you know all the rules

and everyone warned you to watch how you act
you can't cover the truth, with lies, that's a fact
that's rule number one and you've heard all about it
next time around maybe your sad a** won't doubt it

maybe now isn't the time to throw around names
but maybe than wasn't the time to play your sick games
and how long did you think you could get away with the lies
before someone saw truth in your innocent eyes
yeah I know you never kept your secrets from me
and you know I always told you the end that you couldn't see

and everyone warned you to watch how you act
you can't cover the truth, with lies, that's a fact
and I am sorry for you, but I told you too
and now the only players left are me and you

and you know I don't think that I can hang around
and you know I don't think I want you to drag me down
and in the end you were just a pawn in my game
I made you my piece and I gave you my name
and did you ever question why I knew the end when you couldn't
why I let you do all the things that I wouldn't

and everyone told you to watch how you act
you can't cover the truth, with lies, that's a fact
and anything I have ever said to you
I'll swear till I die that they were all true

cause everyone tells me to watch how I act
That I can't cover the truth, with lies, that's a fact
so I bend the truth to my comfort zone
and I should have showed you how, because now you are all alone

but baby, i tried to warn you to watch how you act
cause you can't bend the truth, when you give all the facts
