I Can Smell Your Fear

I can smell your sweet stench of fear,
Every time you sense me coming near,
I am in control of your inner most feelings,
I have the power to send your soul reeling.
Darkness & hate I go by many names,
I’ve hurt many, shot them down in flames,
But I have so much fun taunting you,
I love to torment & really put you through.
You are no match for my evil powers,
I will make you suffer by the hour,
Just when you think you have defeated me,
I invade your mind & your panic runs free.
With my touch I can make you blood chill,
I can make you want to grab a handful of pills,
You will never be free from my icy fingers,
I am a bad odour that forever over you lingers.
As you sit there clinging to sanity’s shreds,
Curled up in the foetal position in your bed,
I kick you I just love to hear your screams,
I laugh as your tears flow in dark streams.
I have made you a shell, made you so hollow,
Made you not want to face the world of tomorrow,
It isn’t you, but I who am in total control,
I am the keeper of your mind, body & now your soul.

i agree seems like anger, but a great read! strong words and a powerful flow. another great poem. A++++
I laugh as your tears flow in dark streams. i really liked this line... made me think
