my choice

Contributed by purplestary on Friday, 8th October 2004 @ 10:44:57 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

my decisions are mine to make
don't think your yelling will change my mind
because in the end i'll go my way
i'll make my bed and lye in it

no, i don't expect you
to be there to bail me out
no, i don't expect you
to save me from myself

if what i do is a mistake
i'll learn from it
and i'll pay my price

you can't tell me how wrong i am
and tell me i'd be a loon
to make the choice thats mine

your guilt trips and your anger
won't make me change my opinion
the truth will soon appear
when i'm gone despite your efforts

i'm sorry you worked so hard
to twist my mind and thoughts
only to realize
your efforts have failed amazingly.

amazing, powerful, and excellent write.

"no, i don't expect you
to save me from myself" that stood out to me in particular.

its nice that some people take control of their lives and dont let others do it, i almost forgot people like that existed anymore. i hope all goes well with the move =]

Be safe and be careful. It is not fun eating humble pie.

Smiles;
Rita
