Guiding light.

I have sailed many leagues
and seen many lands,
with golden pagodas
and ocean kissed sands.
Through storms
and through doldrums,
through wave and through foam
with my star in the distance,
always guiding me home.
As we sailed through the night
I could see far away,
the star that I followed
seemed to twinkle and say
"I will guide you to safety
of that do not fear,
back to the arms
of the one you hold dear!"
It got ever brighter
as we neared the land,
it seemed to be saying
"Just give me your hand."
The great ocean goddess
her white arm held high,
was holding my star
as it flashed in the sky.
We entered the harbour
at last we were free,
to give thanks to the light
that shone ever bright,
and brought us all home from the sea!

This nautical feel was so soothing.
I could read a hundred of them!
Great poem!
