2 years ago, my last breath

Contributed by brokenwings on Friday, 8th October 2004 @ 12:19:11 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Life had a purpose adn made complete sense...
My heart was flying to the highest
peaks of the sky,
i had no reason to cry

We dance at 3am just because we could,
we talked till the wee hours of dawn,
no fear did we have,
hurt eachother we never would

we made plans for our life together
promised to love forever
but forever is an eternity of time
on that we did agree

Then we promised till my arms cna no longer hold you
but with love in our eyes,
both of us knowing where our hearts desire rested,
we promised
"Till I take my last breath"
that was 2 years ago

Then they told me your arms
would never hold me again
and without the machines
you were unable to breathe

But I knew you'd still love me
so for now i must say till my last breath,
and we must part
but there is always your place
deep in my heart,
and your beautiful face
painted in my mind,
our love is our bind...
Looks like its till forever my friend
cuz when you took your last breath
my love did not end

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
