I’ve forgotten about the times we had,
I’ve waited forever for this day to arrive.
And though it may seem sad,
I wont regret the things I’m about to say.
The time has come to say farewell,
I won’t look back as I walk away.

You may not realize the reason I am the person I am today,
Is due to all the things that you had to say.
Thank you for letting your true colors shine,
It has allowed me to see.
The things that had always been so hard to find.

I’m proud to say I am no longer the person,
that I was yesterday.
Here I stand a testament to all of your failed attempts,
Thank you for being who you truly are.
I can finally live my dreams.
If it weren’t for you I would have never made it this far,
You have set me free.

Strong emotions..very well expressed.
I liked what you have expressed here.
It takes courage to forgive, and to let go.
Very inspiring.
