Fields of lost dreams

A single flower blossoms
Instilled were its memories of hope
Reaching out to where it came from
Once thought beautiful but now alone
Fields upon fields beating each other
To the ends of the world
Out stretched for all eternity
They reach out in flamboyant colors
But really black and white is all we see
Love out spoke the words once felt
Never caught a glimpse in the doorway
The happy hopes and dreams begin to melt
Now they seem to be farther away
No one tries to fix what’s been done
No one sees the loneliness it has become
Tried so hard but dreams are always forgotten
I don’t belong here in this world
Lying outside the looking glass
I could never forget
All this beauty kept away inside
Was always me

I can relate to this quite a bit. I enjoyed this
poem a lot it all seemed so real and filled
with pain and heartache. There was a deep
yearning that i felt in this poem and it really
grabbed out at me. This was a standout of a
poem.
