Silence

Stillness fills the air.
Anamosity hangs between.

You and I are no longer we.

I say the words.
I roll them in my mouth.
But they taste awkward.
Bitter.

They don't belong.

I go on living.
But it's not the same.
My movements are monotonous.
Expected.

People smile.
But they dont understand.

I have lost you.
And in turn, I have lost myself.
